This three weight rod is based on the Devine Fairy taper giving a crisp high-fast action well suited for roll casts and close in dry fly work and throws a tight loop when paired with a 406 DT-5-F Fly Line. 

This slightly oversize reel handle and winding check are hand-turned from Figured Padauk. The bright red color gives credence to the tradition of rod making. 

The traditional black uploading real seat compliments the red Paduak handle and winding check.

The slightly oversize rod grip is turned from stacked cork rings.
